The service
Sutra stores user-scoped context and reusable skill bundles and makes them available to compatible AI clients through MCP and related interfaces. Features include memory storage and retrieval, search, organization, exports, versioned skill storage and retrieval, connection management, and activity records. Agent-uploaded skill versions remain disabled until you explicitly enable them. The service may change as it develops, and particular clients or integrations may not always be supported.
Operator and data controller
Sutra is operated by Shivnath Tathe, Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Shivnath Tathe is the data controller for personal data processed through the service.
Accounts and connections
You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your sign-in credentials and API keys, and for activity performed through credentials or clients you authorize. Notify the project promptly if you believe a credential or account has been compromised.
You can revoke API keys independently. Supported OAuth grants can also be revoked, although an access token already issued to a client may remain valid until it expires. You are responsible for reviewing a client before authorizing it and for revoking access you no longer want.
Your content
You remain responsible for memory content and other material submitted through your account, including material an authorized agent submits for you. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to provide that content.
You authorize Sutra and its service providers to host, process, and transmit your content as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot the service. Avoid storing secrets or sensitive information that is not needed for your AI workflows.
Acceptable use
You may not use Sutra to:
- Break applicable law or infringe another person's rights.
- Access another user's account or data without authorization.
- Probe, disrupt, overload, bypass limits, or interfere with the service or its providers.
- Distribute malware, abusive automation, or credentials you are not authorized to use.
- Misrepresent your identity or a client's purpose in a way that compromises consent or security.
Third-party services
Sutra depends on third-party infrastructure, including Supabase, Render, Vercel, and Upstash, and may connect with AI clients you choose. Those products have separate terms and privacy practices. Sutra is not responsible for how an independently operated client handles information after you authorize or send information to it.
Availability and changes
Sutra may experience interruptions, errors, data loss, or feature changes. Do not rely on it as the only copy of critical information. Access may be limited or suspended when reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, legal compliance, or suspected misuse.
Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Sutra is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. AI clients may retrieve, omit, interpret, or use context incorrectly; verify outputs before relying on them.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the project's maintainers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from use of the service. Rights that cannot legally be waived remain unaffected.
Ending use and updates
You may stop using Sutra and revoke connected credentials at any time. The project may suspend or end access for a material breach of these terms, security risk, legal requirement, or discontinuation of the service. These terms may be updated as the service changes; the effective date will identify the current version.
